Alain Prost to join Goodwood Festival of Speed’s Formula 1 celebration

Images are for editorial use only. Four-time Formula 1 World Champion Alain Prost will attend the event on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 July. Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard is celebrating 75 years of the Formula 1 World Championship. Event takes place Thursday 10 – Sunday 13 July. Only Thursday tickets remain at goodwood.com. Goodwood is thrilled to announce that four-time Formula 1 World Champion Alain Prost will attend this year’s Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard, as the event celebrates 75 years of the Formula 1 World Championship. As well as the Formula 1 celebration – which will be the biggest in the world – this year marks two significant anniversaries for Alain – his 70th birthday on February 24th, and 40 years since his first World Championship, in 1985. We are delighted that he has chosen Goodwood as the place to celebrate these landmark occasions. To mark the anniversary of his first World Championship, the McLaren MP4/2B he drove that season will be the poster image for this year’s Festival, and Alain will drive it up the famous Goodwood Hill. Nicknamed “The Professor”, for his extraordinary intelligence and racecraft, Prost is universally regarded as one of the absolute greatest drivers in F1 history. He won the World Championship for McLaren in 1985, ’86 and ’89, and again for Williams in 1993, before retiring with a then-record 51 Grand Prix victories. Had it not been for a combination of bad luck and unreliability, he could easily have won the championship in 1982, ’83, ’84 and ’88 as well! Indeed, in 1988 he actually outscored his legendary Brazilian team mate, Ayrton Senna, by 105 points to 94 over the course of the season, but lost out on the championship because of a quirk in the rules which meant he could only count his best 11 scores from 16 races. As well as the MP4/2B, Prost will drive the iconic McLaren-Honda MP4/4 from that 1988 season – the actual chassis in which he won the Mexican, Monaco and French Grands Prix – at the Festival, courtesy of its owners, Audrain Motorsport. Alain Prost will attend the Festival of Speed on Saturday and Sunday, as Goodwood hosts its single biggest celebration on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Formula 1 World Championship. The 2025 Festival of Speed will mark Prost’s third visit to the Festival, having previously attended in 2012 and 2013. Four-time World Champion Alain Prost said: “The Festival of Speed is a wonderful place to experience the culture and tradition of motorsport and the full history of motor racing, so I’m looking forward to seeing the celebration of 75 years of the Formula 1 World Championship. I can think of no better place to celebrate the history of Formula 1, and two very significant landmarks in my own life.” The Duke of Richmond CBE DL said: “I am absolutely thrilled that Alain is returning to the Festival of Speed to celebrate his glittering career, and join us as we celebrate 75 years of the Formula 1 World Championship. No celebration of Formula 1 would be complete without him, and it will be great to see him back behind the wheel of at least two of his most iconic cars.” Further details of the celebration of 75 years of the Formula 1 World Championship, including cars, drivers, teams and balcony moments, will be made in the coming months. Alain Prost joins the previously-announced celebration for four-time WorldSBK Champion Carl Fogarty, the biggest celebration of Formula 1, and Gordon Murray Automotive’s impressive Central Feature sculpture. Friday and Saturday tickets are now sold out, with Thursday and limited Sunday tickets remaining at goodwood.com. -ENDS- Notes to Editors:Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard will take place Thursday 10 – Sunday 13 July 2025. Maserati takes part in Anantara Concorso Roma 2025

Images are for editorial use only. The A6GCS-53 Berlinetta Pininfarina is the leading namein the event dedicated to “La Dolce Vita” of classic cars. Modena, 22 April 2025 – The Eternal City, La Dolce Vita, Italian luxury and magnificent Roman antiquities. In this extraordinary setting, Maserati is taking part in Anantara Concorso Roma 2025, the first luxury automotive event dedicated to classic cars, due to be held from 24 to 27 April 2025 at the Anantara Palazzo Naiadi in Piazza della Repubblica, in the heart of the Italian capital. Maserati is synonymous with Italian luxury and shares the same values of elegance and style as the Rome event: the iconic heritage of the Modena automaker and the performance of its cars stand out at the exclusive three-day celebrations, showcasing themselves as part of the gathering of the rarest and most prestigious Italian cars of all time. The House of the Trident is there for this first edition, accompanied by the Maserati Classiche programme, with both vintage cars and others from the current production range. All the spotlights are on the A6GCS-53 Berlinetta Pininfarina on show on a prestigious stand at the Casina Valadier in the Villa Borghese park, while a Maserati GranCabrio Trofeo is on display at the Anantara Palazzo Naiadi to emphasise the Maserati DNA devoted to the spirit of grand touring. The A6GCS-53 Berlinetta Pininfarina, produced in 1954/1955, was an evolution of the A6G.CS (single-headlight), a highly successful open-top two-seater race car.The outstanding results achieved by this model led Maserati’s technical staff to an evolution. Specifically, a new cylinder head with two camshafts was switched, which significantly increased the power of the in-line six-cylinder engine. The bodywork was also massively revised. Hence the genesis of a new sports car, later renamed A6GCS-53, with the capability to deliver an output of 170 CV and a top speed of 235 km/h.Based on the A6GCS-53 sedan, Pininfarina created a stunning coupé, then unveiled on the coachbuilder’s stand at the 1954 Turin Motor Show. The Pininfarina Berlinetta was a watershed between the worlds of race cars and road cars. Indeed, as a result of appropriate modifications to adapt the car to usage more suitable for everyday driving, the A6G-54 model was made, which reproduced the theme of the high-performance medium-sized car with a modern flair. Anantara Concorso Roma 2025 is therefore a great opportunity to set out the activities included in the Maserati Classiche programme. The department protects and promotes the preservation and originality of the House of the Trident’s automotive heritage with an exclusive assistance service, especially for the brand’s customers and collectors, which now also includes a process to certify authenticity. Maserati’s participation in the Rome event does not end with a focus on its past: a range consisting of the Maserati Grecale SUV and Maserati GranCabrio will accompany guests between Villa Borghese in central Rome and Castel Gandolfo, with a courtesy car service in the name of elegance and performance. Anantara Concorso Roma 2025 is a journey into the most evocative automotive memory: the event schedule includes a parade on Friday 25 April of the major collectors to Castel Gandolfo; on Saturday 26 April, the great concours d’élégance begins with its parade of cars before the eyes of the jury and the gala dinner. On Sunday 27 April, the competition will be open to visitors and will culminate in the afternoon with the awards ceremony. Maserati S.p.A.Maserati produces a complete range of unique cars, immediately recognizable for their extraordinary personality. Thanks to their style, technology, and innately exclusive character, they delight the most discerning, demanding tastes and have always been a benchmark for the global automotive industry. A tradition of successful cars, each of them redefining what makes an Italian sports car in terms of design, performance, comfort, elegance, and safety, currently available in more than 70 markets internationally.Maserati line-up includes the Grecale, the “everyday exceptional” SUV, the GranTurismo, the iconic Italian grand tourer, and the GranCabrio, the new convertible of the Trident; all models characterized by the use of the highest quality materials and excellent technical solutions. A range equipped with 4-cylinder hybrid powertrains – available for Grecale – and V6 petrol, with rear-wheel and four-wheel drive, embodying the performance DNA of the Trident brand. The top of the range is made up of the MC20 super sports car and the MC20 Cielo spyder, powered by the ground-breaking 100% Maserati Nettuno V6 engine, which incorporates F1-derived technologies into the power unit of a standard production car for the first time. The GranTurismo is available with both the high-performance V6 petrol engine, derived from the Nettuno, and a 100% electric version: the GranTurismo Folgore, the first car in the Modena-based brand’s history to adopt this solution. The full-electric range also currently includes the Grecale Folgore, Maserati’s first 100% electric SUV, and the GranCabrio Folgore. Finally, the House of the Trident’s latest addition is the Maserati GT2 Stradale, the road-legal version of the GT2 that took Maserati back to the track in closed-wheel championships. The heart of the new super sports car is the V6 Nettuno engine, reaching 640 hp (471 kW) in the latter configuration. The GT2 Stradale is therefore the most powerful road-going Maserati with an internal combustion engine. The mission at Maserati is to write the future of mobility in the luxury segment, focusing on its customers’ requests. The Brand, in line with the Stellantis “Dare Forward 2030” strategic plan, is now taking Italian luxury all over the world. Broad Arrow presents McLaren supercars owned by F1 World Champions Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button at Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este Auction

Images are for editorial use only. Broad Arrow offers McLaren MP4-12C supercars personally owned by Sir Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button The MP4-12C defined the future of McLaren Automotive and its subsequent models Hamilton and Button contributed extensively to development of the MP4-12C, providing valuable feedback that was implemented in production models Extremely rare opportunity to own a supercar that defined a global brand and that was owned by a modern-era Formula One World Champion Both cars to feature at the inaugural Broad Arrow Auction at Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este on 24-25 May 2025 London, England: 22nd April 2025 – Broad Arrow, a Hagerty company (NYSE: HGTY), will be auctioning two unique McLaren supercars with exceptional provenance at its inaugural Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este Auction on 24-25 May 2025. The McLaren MP4-12C is regarded as the cornerstone of the modern era for McLaren Automotive. It returned the renowned British marque to the upper echelons of the supercar world after the success of the iconic McLaren F1 in the 1990s. At the time of its reveal in 2010, McLaren had two Formula One Drivers’ Champions on its F1 team, Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button. Both were instrumental in the development of the MP4-12C, with Hamilton requesting the steering wheel be slimmed down and adjustments to the paddle-shifters for both position and to provide a more audible click, similar to the configuration in his McLaren F1 car. Former boss of McLaren, Ron Dennis, gifted an MP4-12C to both drivers in recognition of their contribution to the creation of this impressive supercar and their success on F1 circuits around the world. Broad Arrow is now in the enviable position of offering both cars for sale at its inaugural Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este Auction. “Broad Arrow is extremely proud to have been entrusted to find new owners for these remarkably special McLaren supercars that were owned by Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button” says Joe Twyman, VP of Sales for Broad Arrow’s EMEA Region. “These two McLaren MP4-12C models have a very special place in motoring history. The two F1 World Champions provided invaluable expertise in the development of the MP4-12C that would not only compete in the market with Ferrari and Lamborghini but would define the future of McLaren Automotive and the models it has produced since.” Registered to the seven-time Formula One Drivers’ Champion on 1 March 2012, Hamilton’s MP4-12C was initially delivered to Switzerland, but re-routed to Monte Carlo after Hamilton moved to Monaco. It boasts a unique specification, configured by Hamilton himself at the McLaren factory in Woking, England. He kept the car in Monaco, where he drove it regularly and famously took it to Cannes for a music video shoot with Swizz Beatz. This highly collectible McLaren MP4-12C features numerous carbon fibre options, including the front spoiler, rear diffuser and mirror casings. It also has the Stealth Pack and optional five-spoke wheels in Satin Dark Grey. After delivery of the car, Hamilton also arranged for the windows to be tinted. As an early model, this MP4-12C features the swipe door feature, which was changed in later models, something that further adds to its collectability. This is a McLaren with ultimate provenance, a unique MP4-12C with a specification chosen by Sir Lewis Hamilton himself and that served as one of his own personal cars. Ownership provides a piece of F1 history as well as a car that signalled the return of McLaren to series production supercars. The MP4-12C, designed by famous designer, Frank Stephenson, was more than a match for anything from Italian rivals, most of which were produced in much greater numbers than the McLaren, ensuring the MP4-12C retains its exclusivity. At its heart was a 592hp twin-turbo V8, but beyond its highly engaging powertrain, McLaren’s exceptional innovation in aerodynamics, engineering and performance made it the perfect car for a championship-winning F1 driver. 2009 F1 World Champion, Jenson Button, is such a driver and he too was proud to be involved in the development of the MP4-12C. It is his personal car that will be offered alongside Hamilton’s at Broad Arrow’s Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este Auction. This car was actually Button’s second, as the first one provided to him was returned to the factory to be used to continue development work. Button then personally chose a second car, featuring stunning Elite Pearl White paintwork and an interior trimmed in Harissa Red and Black leather. Along with the difference in color, Button’s car features carbon fibre for the interior trim and the steering wheel. Button’s MP4-12C was configured in consultation with McLaren Monaco before being supplied to the F1 champion. In 2012 it was sold to a private collection in the UK. It remained with that collection until now, being regularly maintained by the McLaren dealer network and today showing less than 12,000km. These two McLaren MP4-12C supercars are testament to the pioneering design and engineering of McLaren Automotive. Their unique provenance as being specified and owned by two of the most famous F1 drivers of the current era, undoubtedly make them an enticing addition for any collector. “This is a very rare opportunity to own the personal McLaren MP4-12C supercars of Sir Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button,” says Twyman. “Created to the specification of each of these F1 World Champions, these two cars feature incredible provenance that spans both the motoring and motorsport worlds.” The McLarens are sure to stir competition among bidders, worthy of any race to the chequered flag, when bidding commences at the inaugural Broad Arrow Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este Auction next month. Ana Gabriela Oquendo, one of the most prominent Ecuadorian motoring journalists, joins WWCOTY

Images are for editorial use only. From “En Curva” Magazine, Oquendo provides reliable and rigorous information on the automotive sector on a daily basis. April 2025 – The Women’s Worldwide Car of the Year (WWCOTY) is pleased to announce that Ana Gabriela Oquendo has joined its international jury, the only car award in the world with a jury composed exclusively of women motoring journalists. Oquendo’s addition to WWCOTY, an organization present in 55 countries, strengthens the role of Women’s Worldwide Car of the Year in Latam where it is already present in many countries, including Ecuador. WWCOTY already has Judith Hernandez, from Autoin magazine, as a juror. Currently, Ana Gabrielas works at En Curva magazine. It’s a specialized media that creates content about the Ecuadorian and global automotive sector. She undertakes test drives, vehicle reviews, comparisons and provides general content on mobility-related topics. She creates informative and engaging content in various formats. Ana Gabriela Oquendo’s journey in the automotive world began in her childhood. Cars were always a big part of her family, particularly through her father, who always kept his car in the best condition. When she was a teenager, one of her brothers started studying Mechanical Engineering. He and her other brother started to repair their cars on their own, which sparked her interest in learning more about the automotive world. “I’m truly honored to be part of WWCOTY. It’s a pleasure to share this space with other women and be part of an expert network in the automotive world. Additionally, I feel pride in the achievements I’ve accomplished through hard work. It’s definitely an exciting moment for me!” About Ecuador The Ecuadorian automotive market is still developing. It remains limited, if you compare it to countries like Colombia or Peru. However, the potential exists. Combustion engine vehicles are still the top sellers, but hybrid and electric car sales are steadily growing. In terms of segments, SUVs and pick-ups are the most popular choices, while Chevrolet and KIA currently lead in sales. This landscape could shift this year, with several new model launches on the horizon. The arrival of brands like Isuzu has many companies in Ecuador’s automotive industry eagerly anticipating what’s to come. About Women’s Worldwide Car of the Year Women’s Worldwide Car of the Year is the only car awards group in the world comprised exclusively of women motoring journalists. It was created by New Zealand motoring journalist Sandy Myhre in 2009. She is Honorary President while Marta García is Executive President. This unique award aims to recognise the best cars of the year and to give a voice to women in the automotive world. The voting criteria are based on the same principles that guide any driver when choosing a car. The jurors do not select a ‘woman’s car’ because cars are not gender specific. Aspects such as safety, quality, price, design, ease of driving, benefits and environmental footprint, among others, are considered when casting the votes. However, beyond choosing the best cars of the year, our goal is also to give visibility to women in the automotive world and to contribute to making women’s voices heard on all continents because mobility for a woman means access to many personal and professional possibilities. wwcoty.netinfo@wwcoty.net Supported by
