- This AI Integration Highlights Škoda Auto’s Dedication to Innovation and Customer Focus
Mladá Boleslav, 26 June 2024 – The capabilities of Škoda’s voice assistant Laura have been significantly enhanced through the integration of Chat Pro from Cerence Inc. This new feature connects directly with the advanced AI tool ChatGPT, expanding Laura’s ability to answer a broader range of questions beyond its original scope. Available in the latest software version for the Enyaq family models, as well as new-generation Superb and Kodiaq models and updated Octavia vehicles, this upgrade ensures user data remains secure.
ChatGPT Enhances Laura While Ensuring Data Security
With ChatGPT now integrated into Škoda’s voice assistant Laura, users can enjoy improved functionality without compromising on data protection. This enhancement allows Laura to handle inquiries across various topics more effectively. Questions outside predefined categories like ‘Vehicle,’ ‘Data,’ ‘Weather,’ ‘News,’ ‘Sports,’ or ‘Stocks’ are directed to Chat Pro connected seamlessly with ChatGPT. Responses sourced from the chatbot will be prefaced with “According to ChatGPT…”. Users retain full control over this feature via privacy settings in their vehicle’s infotainment system; however, it is always active in supported Enyaq models. Notably, all interactions remain anonymous and are deleted immediately after processing.
Chat Pro Supports Four Languages Currently
By introducing this connectivity feature, Škoda reaffirms its commitment to customer-centric innovation. An active Infotainment Online Package is required for use. Compatible with MEB GP and MQB EVO platform-based models equipped with next-gen infotainment systems—including new-generation Superb and Kodiaq models along with updated Octavia cars—the currently supported languages include English, Spanish, Czech, and German.
