Leatherhead, June 26th, 2024 – The Hyundai IONIQ 5N has secured another prestigious accolade by being named Best Performance Car at the 2024 Autocar Awards.
The annual awards hosted by the world’s oldest motoring magazine celebrate top cars across various market segments. Competing against traditional internal combustion models and powerful electrified vehicles, the IONIQ 5 N impressed judges with its driving pleasure.

Built on the Electrified-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) of the award-winning standard model, this high-performance variant incorporates motorsport technologies from Hyundai’s N division for enhanced driving enjoyment.
Among key technical advancements are an upgraded powertrain delivering up to 650 PS in boost mode and achieving speeds of up to 161mph on tracks.
Additional enhancements include improved steering feedback through a strengthened column,
adaptive Electronic Controlled Suspension based on drive modes,
and advanced electronic control features such as N Pedal for better cornering response
and variable front/rear torque distribution.
The emotional engagement factor is elevated by innovations like N e-shift,
simulating an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission sound via N Active Sound+ technology..
