Women On the Move Against Cancer (WOMAC) is pleased to announce Kia as the headline sponsor for its 2025 Fundraiser, to be held at The Kia Oval on June 17. Kia has been a long-time supporter of WOMAC, contributing vital funds towards research, treatments, awareness and care for those affected by cancer and their families. This year WOMAC is raising money for BRIGHT Cancer Care and Skcin.
BRIGHT Cancer Care focuses on research and treatment options for patients with gastrointestinal (GI) and Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) cancers. Its work funds research projects into different treatments for these cancers and funds new equipment for surgeries, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiotherapy and other advanced treatments.
Skcin was set up to boost awareness of skin cancer, promote prevention methods and early detection in the UK. Skcin’s mission is to prevent people from becoming patients. The most at-risk group is 15 to 34 year-olds with 1 in 4 men affected as opposed to 1 in 5 women. The money raised by WOMAC will go towards Skcin’s education campaigns to save lives through prevention and early detection.
Tickets go on sale this week. More information about the Fundraiser and how to book tickets will be available on the WOMAC website, www.womac.co.uk.
Paul Philpott, President and CEO of Kia UK, said: “Kia is delighted to support WOMAC in its important mission and the fight against cancer. With so many affected by the disease, it’s an honour to continue to support the vital work WOMAC is doing and to help fund research, treatments, care and awareness.”
