The 9th annual awards “Investor of the Year” were submitted by the InvestBulgaria Agency (IBA) during a glamorous ceremony at the Sofia Hotel Balkan on 4 February 2015. The event was attended by the President Rosen Plevneliev, Deputy Prime Ministers Meglena Kuneva and Tomislav Donchev, Ministers Bojidar Loukarsky and Nikolina Angelkova, many deputy ministers, ambassadors and representatives of the political and business elite.
As an association of the leading automotive companies Automotive Cluster Bulgaria (ACB) is proud that the automotive industry was well represented among the winners and nominees in the different categories. This was a clear indicator of the importance of the investments in the industry and the government’s further support to expand them.
Winners among the automotive companies were ALC (leather seats manufacturer for BMW and Audi), BHTC (electronic component manufacturer for Volkswagen, Audi and Mercedes-Benz), Teklas (fluid circulation system manufacturer for Volkswagen and Mercedes-Benz) and Yazaki (cable harness manufacturer for Ford).
Among the nominees were the companies Montupet (cylinder heads) and WITTE Automotive (closing, handle and hinge systems).
