The new dance floor hit by DJ and music producer Purple Disco Machine and Jake Shears about the Volkswagen ‘Fire & Ice’ special model has been streamed more than a million times in just a few days Stunts reloaded: action-packed music video with the legendary Golf 2 Fire & Ice and the new ID.3 GTX Fire & Ice The ID.3 GTX Fire & Ice reinterprets the legendary Golf Fire & Ice special model from the 1990s in collaboration with BOGNER FIRE+ICE Wolfsburg – Volkswagen is bringing back the music and pop culture of the 1990s with its new all-electric ID.3 GTX Fire & Ice special model. With spectacular stunts and breathtaking landscape shots, Willy Bogner’s ski film ‘Fire and Ice’ (1986) quickly achieved cult status in the 1980s. The legendary Golf 2 Fire & Ice (1990), inspired by the film, had a lasting impact on the Zeitgeist. The film and the car have retained their cult status to this day. Volkswagen is now continuing this success story in musical form: with ‘Fire + Ice’, internationally acclaimed DJ Purple Disco Machine reinterprets the film’s iconic theme song and, together with Jake Shears, brings a fresh sound to the nostalgic success story. The protagonists of the action-packed music video are the Golf 2 Fire & Ice and its all-electric successor, the ID.3 GTX Fire & Ice1. “Volkswagen has always been an integral part of mainstream culture – and it is precisely this lifestyle that we want to bring back into the spotlight,” says Christine Wolburg, Chief Brand Officer of Volkswagen. “Our mission as a brand is to be anchored at the heart of society, and to play an active role in shaping the pop culture of tomorrow. With the new all-electric ID.3 GTX Fire & Ice and the collaboration with BOGNER FIRE+ICE and Purple Disco Machine, we are bringing together the topics of cars, fashion and music in a unique way. In this way, we are not only creating an emotionally charged product, but also giving the entire brand a new appeal.” The titular theme song of the cult ski film ‘Fire and Ice’ was recorded by US singer Marietta Waters and was produced by Harold Faltermeyer. With ‘Fire + Ice’, Purple Disco Machine has reinterpreted the song in a way that pays homage to the original while bringing it right up to date. With Jake Shears, the DJ has enlisted one of the most glamorous falsetto voices in modern music for the production. The singer of the band Scissor Sisters is considered a queer pop icon and encapsulates the spirit of euphoria and liberation that characterizes this song. The music video also bridges the past and the future, featuring the Golf 2 Fire & Ice and its all-electric successor, the new Volkswagen ID.3 GTX Fire & Ice special model. Inspired by the film and the legendary modern classic car, the vehicular protagonists pursue their drive for freedom and spectacular experiences. Legendary stunts from the past make an impressive comeback with the ID.3 GTX – re-imagined in a modern setting. About the ID.3 GTX Fire & Ice and its predecessorJust one year after the world premiere of the show car, Volkswagen is presenting the limited special edition of the ID.3 GTX Fire & Ice: with an extremely dynamic drive, exclusive paintwork and many design highlights. The model was developed in collaboration with the performance sportswear brand BOGNER FIRE+ICE, part of the Munich-based luxury sports fashion company BOGNER. As an homage to the year the original model was released, only 1990 units of the ID.3 GTX Fire & Ice are available. With the Fire & Ice special model in 1990, Volkswagen presented an exclusive version of the Golf 2 that was both sporty and comfortable. The design was created in collaboration with entrepreneur, fashion designer and film director Willy Bogner. With its extravagant appearance – a dark violet pearl-effect paint finish, alloy wheels, front spoiler and wider body – and powerful engine with up to 160 hp, the Golf Fire & Ice quickly became a sought-after rarity. ABB brings AI-designed street art to life in Mladá Boleslav

ABB robot recreates AI-designed mural live at City=Gallery Street Art Festival Robot artist’s style and themes shaped through online public vote ABB, Škoda Auto Endowment Fund, Škoda Auto, City=Gallery and PPG join forces to blend precision engineering with community art ABB has combined advanced robotics and artificial intelligence to create a one-of-a-kind artwork for the City=Gallery Street Art Festival in Mladá Boleslav, Czech Republic, home to Škoda’s main plant. Working in collaboration with the Škoda Auto Endowment Fund, Škoda Auto, PPG and the festival organizers, ABB’s IRB 5500 painted a large-scale mural designed entirely by AI, based on ideas submitted by the public. “We are thrilled to take robotics out of the factory and into the heart of the community,” said Joerg Reger, Managing Director of ABB Robotics Automotive Business Line. “We’re not only demonstrating precision engineering – we’re showcasing how technology can respond to people’s creative ideas and bring them to life in a way that’s interactive and inspiring.” Through an online vote, the public helped define the mural’s style, mood and themes, which Škoda Design translated into the inputs guiding the AI tools to generate the final artwork. An ABB robot equipped with the award-winning PixelPaint technology – which uses 1,000 individually-controlled nozzles similar to an inkjet printer – then brought that design to life with complete precision on the wall of the Pastelka Art School. “As an international company, Škoda Auto knows that innovation and sustainability are only possible with strong local roots. Through the Škoda Auto Endowment Fund, we have long supported public space, education and innovation in the Mladá Boleslav region. The robotic artist project is a perfect example of this – bringing together art, new technologies and community participation in a way that makes those values visible on the walls of our city. It shows how strengthening local communities also strengthens the company. That’s why we act locally to remain strong internationally, and why we are proud to co-organize the City=Gallery festival for the fourth time,” said Endowment Fund director Ladislav Kučera. Originally developed for the automotive industry, PixelPaint’s ability to apply intricate patterns in a single pass without masking make it uniquely suited to transforming the AI-generated image into a large-scale mural. PPG provided an advanced waterborne basecoat specially formulated for ABB’s PixelPaint to ensure reliable performance and precision. For the mural, PPG’s coating system was adapted to the unique demands of street art, featuring a fast-drying primer and a topcoat that provides UV protection and weather resistance. The live robot painting, held on September 4 and 5, was one of the festival’s headline attractions. The ground-breaking collaboration between ABB, Škoda Auto Endowment Fund, Škoda Auto, City=Gallery festival and PPG marked the first time a robot artist had been showcased at the event. The City=Gallery festival follows a long tradition of transforming public spaces into open-air galleries, a practice that resonates across cities worldwide. This year’s edition in Mladá Boleslav added a new dimension, uniting art, technology and community in a live collaboration that showed how people and machines can create together, while also connecting local voices to a broader cultural movement. MCXtrema at the Maserati International Rally 2025 to relive the excitement of the MC12 on the Spa-Francorchamps circuit

Spa-Francorchamps, September 12, 2025 – Maserati MCXtrema has made its return to the legendary Circuit de Spa-Francorhamps, where last July it took center stage at the 2025 CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa, evoking the legend of the glorious MC12. The occasion was the Maserati International Rally (MIR) 2025, the annual gathering that brings together Brand enthusiasts from all over the world. An extraordinary journey that brought together 100 Maserati models spanning every era between September 10 and 13, weaving through the countryside roads of the Ardennes and the epic Spa-Francorchamps track—widely regarded as the ultimate “university” of motorsport. For this occasion, the MCXtrema wore the same livery it had showcased a few months earlier, when it tackled the historic corners of Eau Rouge and Raidillon as the official Leading Car of the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa. This special livery pays clear homage to the MC12, celebrating the 20th anniversary of its first victory at the 24 Hours of Spa in 2005, achieved by the Vitaphone team with Michael Bartels, Timo Scheider, and Eric van de Poele. That triumph was followed by further victories in 2006 (Michael Bartels, Andrea Bertolini, Eric van de Poele) and 2008 (Michael Bartels, Andrea Bertolini, Stéphane Sarrazin, Eric van de Poele). Characterized by an elegant black-and-blue contrast, the design recalls the iconic colors of the multi-title-winning MC12 GT1 fielded by Vitaphone Racing, which secured three wins and two runner-up finishes on this circuit. The personalized details of the livery include a striking trident on the hood and a dynamic interplay of lettering (blue on black) on the doors and rear sides. The typography features the names of Maserati’s most iconic models, legendary drivers, and the international circuits where the Modena-based car manufacturer has triumphed. Maserati International Rally 2025 (MIR)From September 10 to 13, 2025, the Belgian Ardennes hosted the annual celebration of Maserati cars of all eras. In the historic town of Durbuy—set along the River Ourthe and famously known as the smallest city in the world—enthusiasts took part in a spectacular rally. The event featured exhilarating track sessions, convivial gatherings, and the renowned parade along the region’s scenic roads, with Spa as a highlight stop. The entire program was steeped in the values of performance, innovation, and audacity that have defined nearly a century of Maserati in racing. Indeed, it was in 1926 when the Tipo 26—the very first car to wear the Trident on its hood—won the Targa Florio with Alfieri Maserati at the wheel. The highlight of the 2025 edition of the MIR came on Thursday, September 11, with a full day dedicated to the legendary Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. MCXtrema took center stage in its natural habitat: the track. At midday, the circuit hosted the spectacular Maserati Parade, where historic icons and contemporary models of the Trident shared the stage in a breathtaking display. At the Maserati International Rally 2025, the MCXtrema—in its celebratory livery—rekindled the spirit of the legendary MC12, once again bringing the magic of an unforgettable racing history at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. Togg unveils AI platform Can.ai at IAA Mobility 2025

Joint development by Togg and Microsoft: The new agentic AI platform Can.ai enables interaction without a conventional user interface (ZeroTouchUI) and integrates mobility seamlessly into digital everyday life Munich, September 10, 2025. The mobility brand Togg has unveiled its AI platform Can.ai, developed in collaboration with Microsoft Türkiye, at the IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich. Visitors experienced Can.ai in real-life scenarios – an agentic AI that goes beyond traditional voice assistants: it features contextual awareness, operates without a traditional user interface (ZeroTouchUI), makes decisions, and automatically initiates processes. At the IAA Mobility 2025, Togg showcased its latest products, designs, and technologies. In the specially created “Trumore Zone”, visitors tested real-world applications such as intelligent charging route management, voice-controlled vehicle services, as well as media and health services – all seamlessly enabled, free from reliance on a conventional interface. The future of interaction: ZeroTouchUI meets agentic AISince its foundation, Togg has used artificial intelligence not only functionally but as an integral part of its digital architecture. Already in 2020, Togg established one of Türkiye’s largest GPU-based infrastructures for training complex AI models, implementing all systems consistently within a microservice architecture. This laid the foundation for Togg’s agentic AI architecture. Building on this, and in collaboration with Microsoft Türkiye, the Can.ai platform was developed, based on Microsoft Azure Cloud and OpenAI technologies. A new generation of user experiences with Can.aiCan.ai does not interact through a traditional user interface, but instead processes multilayered data such as user intention, time, location, vehicle condition, and past behavior. It provides an AI infrastructure that enables context-aware interaction. The platform can be deployed across diverse fields – from smart devices to mobile applications, from call centers to enterprise systems. Its structure goes beyond responding to requests: it shows empathy, learns, makes predictions, and acts proactively in the best interest of users. “With Can.ai, we are redefining more than mobility”Togg CEO Gürcan Karakaş described the vision as follows:“From the very beginning, artificial intelligence has been the backbone of our new user infrastructure. With Can.ai, we are building an interaction model that not only responds to requests but also understands, anticipates, and acts autonomously. This allows us to create a new interaction paradigm with ZeroTouchUI for our users, paving the way toward a new form of mobility. Together with Microsoft Türkiye, we have implemented this architecture on secure and scalable technology. With Can.ai, we are creating an intuitive user experience that goes far beyond traditional mobility and enriches daily life.” “Seamless experiences across ecosystems”Levent Özbilgin, General Manager of Microsoft Türkiye, emphasized the significance of the partnership:“Artificial intelligence is one of the strongest drivers for new user experiences. With Can.ai, we have created a tangible example of this in the mobility sector. Together with Togg, we developed a platform that understands needs, operates seamlessly across ecosystems, and significantly enhances user experiences. Thanks to Azure’s globally scalable infrastructure, Can.ai can be deployed reliably and securely across different environments. Can.ai also illustrates how technology will seamlessly become part of our everyday lives.” Can.ai as a digital twin of the Togg Care TeamThe platform has been trained on more than 1,000 documents, extensive FAQ content, and over two million call center records. It communicates with users in their everyday language – both written and spoken. Leveraging Natural Language Processing (NLP) and intelligent search algorithms, Can.ai answers customer inquiries within seconds – covering everything from orders and tracking to after-sales services and technical support. Togg #ReDefineMobilityTogg (Türkiye’nin Otomobili Girişim Grubu) was founded on June 25, 2018, as an industry alliance of Anadolu Group, BMC, Turkcell, Zorlu Group, and the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) – with the mission of building a global mobility brand with full intellectual property rights. As a technology-driven company, Togg pursues the vision of making mobility smarter, more accessible, and more sustainable – with a clear focus on user centricity, digital connectivity, and a zero-emission future.

Long-distance test successfully completed: EQS with solid-state battery covers 1,205 km on a single charge

Mercedes-Benz continues real-world testing of solid-state battery technology No charging stops across three countries: From Stuttgart, Germany via Denmark to Malmö, Sweden Total distance covered: 1,205 km without recharging. Remaining range: 137 km Formula 1 technology: Solid-state battery developed with Mercedes-AMG High Performance Powertrains (HPP) and cells from U.S.-based solid-state cell manufacturer Factorial Energy Stuttgart. Mercedes-Benz sets new benchmarks in electric mobility with an extraordinary demonstration drive, impressively showcasing the potential and everyday usability of a future battery technology: A lightly modified EQS test vehicle was used for the journey. It was equipped with a lithium-metal solid-state battery. At the end of August, the vehicle completed the 1,205-kilometer trip from Stuttgart in Germany to Malmö in Sweden. Remarkably, it did so without a single charging stop. This real-world achievement proves that the technology performs not only in the lab but also on the road. The EQS surpassed the previous record set by the Vision EQXX on its Stuttgart–Silverstone route by three kilometres (Link Media Site). It arrived in Malmö with an impressive remaining range of 137 km, too. This combination of long range, efficiency, and technological maturity marks a milestone for solid-state battery development and highlights its potential for future production vehicles. As the inventor of the automobile, Mercedes-Benz once again underscores its ambition to actively shape the future of mobility through this pioneering achievement. Real-world validationFollowing the announcement of road testing in February (Link Media Site), the drive from Stuttgart in Germany to Malmö in Sweden was part of a comprehensive validation program for solid-state battery technology at Mercedes-Benz. In addition to digital simulations and testing at state-of-the-art facilities in Stuttgart-Untertürkheim and Sindelfingen, the vehicle and battery are being tested under real-world conditions on public roads. The goal is to assess overall vehicle performance across different climate zones and route profiles and accelerate the path to series production. The recent trip to Malmö adds a real long-distance scenario to this testing program. The route followed highways A7 and E20 through Germany and Denmark to Malmö, Sweden. The optimal route was calculated using Electric Intelligence, factoring in topography, traffic, ambient temperature, and energy needs for heating and cooling — without using ferries. “The solid-state battery is a true gamechanger for electric mobility. With the successful long-distance drive of the EQS, we show that this technology delivers not only in the lab but also on the road. Our goal is to bring innovations like this into series production by the end of the decade and offer our customers a new level of range and comfort.”Markus Schäfer, Member of the Board of Management of Mercedes‑Benz Group AG, Chief Technology Officer, Development & Procurement Technology BackgroundThe solid-state battery system was developed in close collaboration with Mercedes-AMG High Performance Powertrains (HPP), the Formula 1 technology centre of the Mercedes-Benz Group in Brixworth, UK. The lithium-metal cells used in the vehicle come from U.S.-based manufacturer Factorial Energy and are based on FEST® technology (Factorial Electrolyte System Technology). To support the cells during the volume changes typical of this technology and to ensure the necessary contact pressure on the cells, the solid-state battery is equipped with pneumatic actuators. These actuators respond to the changes in cell volume during charging and discharging, thereby ensuring the flawless operation of the battery over time. The usable energy content of the battery was increased by 25%, while the weight and size of the battery remain comparable to the standard EQS battery. Additional weight and energy efficiency is achieved through passive airflow cooling Mercedes-Benz AG at a glanceMercedes‑Benz AG is part of the Mercedes‑Benz Group AG with a total of around 175,000 employees worldwide and is responsible for the global business of Mercedes‑Benz Cars and Mercedes‑Benz Vans.
