Milltek employs state-of-the-art tech for its awesome new Audi RS4 B7 exhaust

Images are for editorial use only. Milltek introduces latest tech for its new (V2) Audi RS4 B7 ‘modern classic’ exhaust unit Modern silencer technology and active centre H-pipe added for big difference in sound when sports mode is on and off Milltek valves included with original valve control retained which can be activated with Sport mode button on steering wheel Oval exhaust tips (like original Audi system) available with choice of four finishes Previous system (V1) still available for owners needing an EC Approved system High grade T304L stainless steel Milltek exhausts have lifetime warranty Milltek has released an updated, state-of-the-art sports exhaust system for the Audi RS4 B7, with its much-loved 4.2-litre, 414bhp, naturally aspirated V8 engine. After a recent surge in sales of replacement sports exhausts for ‘modern classics’ like the Audi, Milltek’s engineers revisited the RS4’s system to incorporate more modern exhaust technology. This includes a modern silencer and, to bring it in line with the current Audi RS range, an active centre H-pipe (with vacuum-operated valve) has been introduced to create a more noticeable difference when the Sports mode is on or off. When Sport mode is off, the Active H-Pipe opens and lets the exhaust gasses from each bank mix. The rear valves close, sending the gasses through the rear silencers, which both dampen the sound. When Sport mode is on, however, the active H pipe valve closes and acts as two separate pipes – one for each bank – and the rear silencer valves open so the exhaust gasses take the path of least resistance, internally bypassing the silencers which gives the increase in sound. Better still, the existing Audi valve control is retained, ensuring the steering wheel’s Sport mode button functions properly but with the advantage of improved sound from the Milltek system. Like all Milltek exhausts, the RS4 B7 unit is made from high quality T304L Stainless Steel with a lifetime warranty applicable to the original purchaser. The system comes with everything required for installation. Other details include left and right centre resonators, silencers and valved outlets, plus rear brackets, but it doesn’t just sound incredible, it’s a fantastic design. With oval OE-style trims that come in a choice of four finishes – Polished Stainless, Cerakote Black Stainless, Brushed Titanium, Burnt Titanium – it looks the part. For RS4 owners in Europe who need an EC-Approved replacement system, the original (V1) system will still be available offering an enhanced tone within the noise limits set by the official approval standards. Technical Operations Manager at Milltek, Kev Hall, said: “Everyone has a soft spot for the RS4 B7 as it was one of the first Audis that felt so dynamically competent with a V8 engine that desperately needed to be heard, which is why it is a perfect car for a Milltek exhaust system to enhance its sound and performance delivery. “I’d describe it as a Jekyll and Hyde exhaust: with Sport mode off it is silky smooth and subtle, then with Sport mode on everything opens up and you really get the full sound of the exhaust as the rear valves open and the active centre closes, and vice versa with it off. It’s very similar tech to what we offer on the latest factory Audi RS models.” Full details of Milltek’s range of exhausts from ‘modern classics’ to the latest pick-ups, vans and off-roaders, plus dealers are available at www.millteksport.com. -End- AboutFounded in the UK in 1983 by a true car enthusiast, Milltek has grown to become a global, leading manufacturer of performance exhaust systems for a continually expanding range of vehicles. An important delegation from Women’s Worldwide Car of the Year traveled to South Korea to present the Supreme Winner award to the Hyundai Santa Fe and explore the gigantic Ulsan plant, where 5,600 cars are manufactured daily SEOUL, South Korea – Three jurors of the Women’s Worldwide Car of the Year (WWCOTY) award traveled thousands of miles from around the world (Italy, United Arab Emirates and the United States) to Seoul, South Korea to present the Supreme Winner trophy to Hyundai Motor Company executives, conduct interviews and tour the world’s largest automotive manufacturing facility. The three jurors are Monica Secondino, founder of Donne in Auto and a feature writer for Il Fatto Quotidiano, Auto and Motor 1 Italia, based in Milan, Italy; Shereen Shabnam, editor-in-chief of Global Trend Monitor magazine based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates; and Tanya Gazdik, automotive editor at MediaPost and a contributor to WardsAuto and A Girl’s Guide to Cars, based in Detroit, Michigan, United States. They represented the 85 women motoring journalists from 54 countries across five continents who voted for this year’s winners. The Hyundai Santa Fe was chosen as the WWCOTY Supreme Winner after first being selected as Best Large SUV. The trio conducted interviews with Hae In Kim, executive vice president and chief human resources officer at Hyundai Motor Company and presented her with the award. Next, they traveled to Hyundai Motorstudio Hanam, a brand experience space for Hyundai Motor Company located within Starfield Hanam mall in South Korea, where they interviewed Taewook Choi, senior researcher, Hyundai exterior design team. The WWCOTY jurors’ trip to South Korea also included a side trip from Seoul to the port city of Ulsan, where they toured Hyundai’s massive manufacturing complex. It is renowned as the world’s largest automobile plant. The facility encompasses five factories, an engine and transmission plant and even its own port for shipping vehicles. The plant covers 4.8 million square meters (1,200 acres) and can produce over 1.5 million vehicles annually, with a daily output of 5,600 cars. The WWCOTY jurors also toured the Hyundai Heritage Hall, a space dedicated to showcasing the company’s history and brand heritage. It is located within the Ulsan Plant’s Culture Center. The hall features an exhibition that traces Hyundai’s journey from its beginnings at the Ulsan Plant to its current position as one of the largest automotive companies globally. About Women’s Worldwide Car of the YearWomen’s Worldwide Car of the Year is the only car awards group in the world comprised exclusively of women motoring journalists. It was created by New Zealand motoring journalist Sandy Myhre in 2009. She is Honorary President while Marta García is Executive President. This unique award aims to recognise the best cars of the year and to give a voice to women in the automotive world. The voting criteria are based on the same principles that guide any driver when choosing a car. The jurors do not select a ‘woman’s car’ because cars are not gender specific. Aspects such as safety, quality, price, design, ease of driving, benefits and environmental footprint, among others, are considered when casting the votes. However, beyond choosing the best cars of the year, our goal is also to give visibility to women in the automotive world and to contribute to making women’s voices heard on all continents because mobility for a woman means access to many personal and professional possibilities. wwcoty.netinfo@wwcoty.net Supported by

The Vision O study presents a consistent evolution of the Modern Solid design languageAt first sight, the estate concept features a sleek, distinctive silhouette. The design is predominantly shaped by the light contours, the aerodynamic body, the steeply raked windscreen and the gently sloping roof typical of Škoda estate models. The model designation “Vision O” is derived from the concept of circularity. This holistic approach to recycling and reusing components, minimises the environmental impact of vehicle development and production. Furthermore, the concept is also characterized by the combination of functionality and user experience. 130 years of Škoda’s rich history are accompanied by successful and innovative estate modelsThe Vision O concept continues the manufacturer’s legacy of estate cars, encompassing models such as the historical L&K 110, known for its variable body options. The most successful is the Škoda Octavia estate, first introduced in 1960. Modern versions of the Škoda Octavia estate have already surpassed the milestone of more than 3 million units produced in four generations since 1998, making it also the best-selling estate model in Škoda history. First launched in 2008 with the second-modern-generation Superb, the Škoda Superb estate is also highly popular. Mazda to highlight heritage fleet at Royal Tunbridge Wells Festival of Motoring

Images are for editorial use only. Mazda UK’s 1969 Mazda Cosmo will be on display at the Royal Tunbridge Wells Festival of Motoring. The event celebrates 130 years since the UK’s first ever motor show was held in the Kent town. A curated selection of classic cars will be displayed across the weekend of 2nd and 3rd August. It is a little-known fact that the Kent town of Royal Tunbridge Wells hosted the first motor show in Great Britain. In 1895 the Royal Tunbridge Wells Horseless Carriage Exhibition attracted huge crowds, and this motoring milestone will be celebrated on the weekend of Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd August when more than 20 curated classic cars will be displayed along the tree-lined Georgian walkways of The Pantiles at the heart of the picturesque town. This unique motoring festival will feature an eclectic display, exhibited by local world-renowned specialists, restorers and racing teams, in a celebration of the area and 130 years of motoring history. Mazda’s history in the town is focused on the fact, that prior to the founding of Mazda UK in 2001, Mazda’s importer was based in town from the early 1970s until the end of the century, while today Mazda UK’s heritage fleet is still stored and maintained in the Kent town. Local dealer Hendy Group opened a new dealership earlier this year, located on the Kingstanding Business Park, it’s the latest evolution of Mazda’s retail presence in Tunbridge Wells. Thanks to this local connection, Mazda UK’s 1969 Mazda Cosmo will be displayed across the weekend at this significant motoring showcase that is presented in association with Octane Magazine. – Ends – Further press information is available at www.mazda-press.co.ukInteractive Press Packs for all models are available at www.mazdamediapacks.co.ukVisit our media blog at www.insidemazda.co.ukFollow us on Twitter @mazdaukpr For further information please contact one of the following:Graeme Fudge, PR Director | T: 01322 622 691 | E-mail: gfudge@mazdaeur.comOwen Mildenhall, PR Manager | T: 01322 622 713 | Email: omildenhall@mazdaeur.comMonique Clarke, Press Officer | T: 01322 622 650 | Email: mclarke@mazdaeur.comEve Griffiths, PR Intern | T: 01322 622 718 | Email: egriffiths@mazdaeur.com Ref: 250725FINAL Editor’s NoteDetails of this free-to-attend event on the motoring calendar can be found at https://www.rtwmotorfest.com/ and on Instagram @rtwmotorfest.
