Packed with industry-leading features synonymous with Dennis Eagle’s Olympus body range and typically mounted on a compact chassis, the Midi meets the growing demand for smaller RCVs with high payloads. The 2025 Olympus Midi is offered in three variants with capacities of 9.8 m³ (OL-MIDI 10), 10.8 m³ (OL-MIDI 11) and 11.8 m³ (OL-MIDI 12). Thanks to its wheelbase starting at just 3.25m (OL-MIDI 10) and width of 2,350mm (DAF variant), the Olympus Midi offers outstanding manoeuvrability and a tight turning circle, making it ideal for navigating congested streets or rural lanes. Seamless integrationDesigned to be fitted on the most common 12t to 16t GVW chassis in the market place, its engineers have worked with chassis providers to ensure seamless integration and provide optimum packaging and efficiency of the vehicle and body. The Midi can be built on a range of chassis, including DAF and Renault, alongside other providers. Body beautifulThe Midi’s designers opted for a sleek, contemporary body design while ensuring user-friendly and robust features that enhance operational efficiency. As a member of the Olympus body family, the Midi incorporates many of the features that have made the range the number one choice in the refuse collection market. Produced from hard wearing materials, including Hardox 400, it is both robust and corrosion resistant. Design elements, such as the class-leading short rear overhang, have reduced weight and contribute to being able to maximise the payload capacity, which is unrivalled in the vehicle segment. Other best-in-category features include a compactor speed of 17 seconds and the widest tailgate hopper in its class. The Midi has the standard features of Olympus, including being able to optimise ejector plate retention for handling multiple different waste types efficiently. Built tough, the Midi is equipped with heavy-duty connectors and wiring for the ultimate durability in harsh weather conditions. A true family memberAs part of the Olympus family, the Midi comes with a configurable HMI display, enabling operators to efficiently manage key functions such as bin lifter movements, integration of body weighing systems, diagnostics, rear camera integration and access to the Terberg Connect telematics and remote diagnostics system. For streamlined fleet maintenance, the Midi shares common electrical components with the Olympus and Twin Pack models, including cabin terminal, harnessing, encoders, switches and control panels. Versatile bin lifting optionsOperators can choose from multiple bin-lifting configurations, including an integrated multifunction bin lift—ideal for 2- and 4-wheel waste collections—or a Terberg OmniDEL or OmniDEKA automatic bin lift. An open-back configuration is also available. Lifting capacity of the integrated lift is another area where the Midi excels, delivering as standard a maximum lifting capacity of 500kg. Efficiency Dennis Eagle has focused on maximising operational efficiency in every aspect of the Olympus Midi. Single-person operation is available where required, and its pack-on-the-move technology allows packing cycles to be completed while in transit, saving valuable time. With just two lubrication points for the body, maintenance engineers can achieve additional time savings. Safety as standardAs with all Dennis Eagle products, safety is a priority. When fitted to the customer-specified chassis, the Olympus Midi features intuitive safety systems based on the company’s unrivalled knowledge of waste management operations. Fully compliant with EN-1501 and CE-approved, the Olympus Midi continues Dennis Eagle’s commitment to providing market-leading safe refuse collection vehicles. Ergonomically designed to ensure a comfortable and safe working environment, it features new LED lighting to ensure that operators and the vehicle itself are always clearly visible. “Dennis Eagle’s Olympus Midi continues the brand’s commitment to innovation, sustainability and efficiency in waste collection,” says Dennis Eagle’s sales and marketing manager, Lee Rowland. “With its compact size, advanced technology and industry-leading durability, the Olympus Midi is a welcome addition to our family.” For further details visit www.dennis-eagle.co.uk/products/olympus-midi/.Download images and video here. Simple measures deter high tech car thieves

Images are for editorial use only. Physical anti-theft devices reduce crime risk Keeping your car safe protects in-car data Tech-savvy criminals can steal a car in seconds High-tech car thefts are at a record high, but drivers can protect their cars with simple physical barriers such as a steering wheel lock, says leading breakdown provider Start Rescue. Using readily available electronic devices, thieves can gain entry to and drive off in many modern cars in seconds. The 2022 to 2023 Crime Survey for England and Wales shows 40% of vehicle thefts were by this method. Drivers are being urged to use simple, strong and visible anti-theft solutions such as steering wheel locks and wheel clamps so car criminals will move on to an easier target. “It takes seconds to attach a steering wheel lock to reduce the risk of theft,” says Lee Puffett, Managing Director of Start Rescue. “Protecting your car from criminals also helps keep your personal information secure that is stored through in-car data and smartphone apps.” In the UK, 129,159 vehicles were stolen between April 2023 and March 2024. Theft of keyless entry vehicles is on the rise and went up by 2% in this period compared to the previous 12 months. “Using a steering wheel cover, brake pedal lock or a similar device might seem like an old fashioned way to secure your car,” adds Lee Puffett. “But it’s tried and tested technology and puts off thieves with a tough physical deterrent. Anything that makes a thief ignore your car and move on is worth using.” Drivers can further help prevent car theft by keeping their keys and fobs out of sight and reach when at home or work. Don’t arrive home and immediately drop your keys on the hall table. Get into the habit of storing them out of sight – thieves won’t care what they damage in their quest to steal keys they can see, even if a door or window is in their way. You can also keep a car key in an RFID pouch to block its signal from thieves. Start Rescue has a 4.6-star rating on Trustpilot, a five-star Defaqto* rating and has achieved Which? Recommended Provider status for six years running. Start Rescue has also been awarded best Breakdown Cover provider in the Finder Customer Satisfaction Awards 2024 (www.finder.com), scoring 4.9 out of 5 for overall satisfaction with a 94% recommendation rate. As the official auction partner of BMW AG for the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, Broad Arrow is offering 70 of the market’s most collectible cars for sale on the shores of Lake Como. The cars on offer span the most desirable categories of the collector car market, from coachbuilt classics to racing icons and supercars with rare provenance and desirability. “We are honoured to present some of the most collectible supercars of modern times at our Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este auction,” says Joe Twyman, VP of Sales for Broad Arrow’s EMEA Region. “The chance to auction the very first Lamborghini Diablo VT 6.0 is a very special moment for us. This iconic supercar has the incredible provenance of being the first Diablo VT 6.0 off the hallowed production line at Sant’Agata Bolognese and was the car reviewed by the world’s top motoring publications. We are expecting considerable interest from Lamborghini collectors around the world for what is a very desirable example of the marque.” 2000 Lamborghini Diablo VT 6.0 (Estimate: €500.000 – €600.000)Broad Arrow is delighted to present for auction, the very first Lamborghini Diablo VT 6.0 to leave the famous production line at Sant’Agata Bolognese. Like the Countach, the Diablo was revered worldwide for its wedge-shaped design, incredible performance and superb engineering. The Diablo VT 6.0 was the swansong for the Diablo, with the original Marcello Gandini design evolved by Luc Donckerwolke to create an even more dramatic presence on the road. It gained Viscous Traction (VT) all-wheel drive, an increase in power and torque and its impressive performance numbers showed it to be quicker than its major rival, the Ferrari 360 Modena. Carbon fibre was used more extensively inside and out and most noticeably, the pop-up headlights of the Diablo were replaced by fixed units to further improve aerodynamic performance. Chassis number 12293 is a very special example of this iconic supercar. Resplendent in Giallo Orion yellow, it was produced for the Italian market where it was initially utilised by Lamborghini for media and marketing and featured in many of the top international motoring publications. It was subsequently sold to its current, and only, private owner in Germany who has meticulously maintained this desirable bull, including a major overhaul of the 542hp 6.0-litre V12 engine in 2015. This very historically significant Lamborghini is supplied with a Certificate of Vehicle Original Configuration and is a noteworthy addition to any automobile collection. 2003 Honda NSX-R (Estimate: €750.000 – €950.000)The Honda NSX was one of the most respected supercars of its era, combining the impressive quality and reliability that Honda is renowned worldwide for, with head-turning looks and superb performance. The NSX-R was the ultimate version and very rarely becomes available in the collector car market. The NSX-R was created to respond to increasing levels of performance by contemporary Italian sports car manufacturers and it delivered a convincing answer to its rivals. Its 3.2-litre VTEC V6 engine delivers 290hp and provided Ferrari-matching pace on the notorious Nürburgring track. This rare example is finished in what is likely the most desirable colour of Championship White and features an interior trimmed in red Alcantara upholstery. It has been meticulously maintained by its owner in Sweden and has travelled only 15,806km in its lifetime. Just 140 second generation NSX-R models were produced by Honda, making this a worthy addition to any supercar collection. 2022 Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4 (Estimate: €2.300.000 – €2.500.000)The Lamborghini Countach is undeniably one of the greatest supercars of all time. In 2022 Lamborghini Centro Sile celebrated the illustrious history of the Marcello Gandini-designed model by creating a modern interpretation, the Countach LPI 800-4. Based on the Aventador and designed by Lamborghini’s chief designer, Mitja Borkert, only 112 examples were produced, all featuring significant nods to the original, such as the frontal wedge shape, distinctive pentagonal wheel arches and the glazed roof panel that hints at the periscope system of the original Countach. The advanced hybrid powertrain includes a 769hp V12 engine and a 34hp electric motor to give it a combined output of 803hp and a 0-100km/h time of only 2.8 seconds. Young Driver® bucks leasing trend with cash purchase of new fleet

Images are for editorial use only. NatWest’s asset finance business Lombard funds Young Driver’s £2m+ purchase of 170 new Suzukis Swift model’s excellent residuals offer long-term ownership benefits New model’s improved economy expected to save thousands in fuel costs Greater flexibility to de-fleet individual cars early and replace with EVs Balsall Common – Young Driver®, the UK’s foremost under-17s driver-training school, has steered clear of leasing for the first time after taking delivery of its brand-new 170-strong Suzuki Swift fleet, which will provide 150,000 driving lessons for children each year. After 15 years, 1.5 million lessons, and multiple fleet changes, Young Driver has bucked the industry norm and purchased its new fleet outright, rather than leasing the cars. Due to a combination of strong residual values for the Suzukis, and the ability for Young Driver to only offset its loan interest and depreciation against profits – rather than the entire lease payment – the scales weighed in favour of ownership for the first time. “We’ve had a great relationship with NatWest Commercial Banking and Lombard, its asset finance business, for the last three years,” said Ian Mulingani, Young Driver’s managing director. “We’d been discussing the possibility of a cash loan to purchase for some time, and as we drew near to the end of the lease on our previous Vauxhall Corsa fleet, we just needed the right replacement product to maximise the benefits of buying outright. “According to CAP, the all-new Suzuki Swift will retain an excellent 55% of its value after three years and 36,000 miles, which gave Young Driver the confidence to put together a highly competitive deal with Lombard. But we also have the reassurance of a Suzuki warranty of up to seven years and 100,000 miles, so there’s potential to keep our cars for longer, improving our balance sheet. “Furthermore, we no longer have to face punitive fees from a leasing company when the time comes to replace the Suzukis.” Since the new Suzukis can accommodate children from the age of nine (the previous Corsa’s design dictated 10 years and above), Young Driver also has the potential to increase its earnings by introducing an even younger audience to the joys of driving. NatWest Commercial Banking’s senior relationship manager Michelle Watkinson was enthusiastic about Young Driver’s new approach to fleet-funding: “We have an excellent relationship with Ian and the entire Young Driver team that we have built up over the past three years,” she said. “Because we fully understand Young Driver and its goals, we were able to connect the business with Lombard, our asset finance business, to help finance its fleet in a way that supported the business’s growth ambitions.” Lombard’s senior relationship manager Ray Nsemwa, added: “We are really pleased that Lombard has been able to support Young Driver with financing to help it go the distance by purchasing its own fleet. This has the potential to be transformational for its growth goals – enabling the business to expand its reach and grow its income as it continues its mission to make our roads a safer place.” Green tech reduces carbon footprintAs the first driving school to offer carbon negative driving lessons in the UK, Young Driver is committed to teaching greener driving techniques, and using ICE/mild hybrid cars, like the Suzuki Swift, for maximum efficiency. Here, there were further economic benefits to be gained with the new fleet. Based on the manual-transmission Swift’s official combined fuel consumption of 64.2mpg, Young Driver expects to save just under £20,000* in fuel alone, compared with the less economical Vauxhall Corsa. And with a CO₂ figure of 99g/km, a Swift’s emissions are also considerably lower than that of the 117g/km for the outgoing car. Ownership offers option to sell early and shift to EVsYoung Driver’s Suzuki fleet will comprise 160 Swift Motion models, powered by a new 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, 12v mild hybrid engine, producing 81bhp, and mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. A further 10 Swifts have been ordered with optional CVT transmission for young drivers with impaired abilities, who are not able to operate a conventional three-pedal system. All the Swifts are equipped with He-Man Dual Controls. However, Young Driver’s funding deal means that any single car from the fleet can be sold early without penalty, and its portion of the loan paid off. “With the future so uncertain about demand for EVs, it’s impossible to say if new drivers will want to learn in one, or not,” said Ian. “By owning the cars, we have the flexibility to react to changing trends and potentially replace some cars with EVs early so that the fleet mix is appropriate for the children we’re training.” ENDS For more information about Young Driver: https://www.youngdriver.eu/ For more information about the Suzuki Swift: https://cars.suzuki.co.uk/new-cars/swift/ *Based on each vehicle covering 7,000 miles per year. Alvis delivers its latest Lancefield continuation car, 88 years after the first

Images are for editorial use only. Handcrafted in the UK using a blend of traditional and modern manufacturing techniques Continuation build of one-off model built for the 1938 London Motor Show destined for Japanese customer Stunning Art Deco coach-built body is the result of over 3,800 hours of work The ultimate dual-purpose tourer – graceful over long distances with more than 150 bhp under the bonnet Publicly displayed for the first time at Automobile Council 2025 (11 – 13 April) in Japan by Meiji Sanyo, exclusive Alvis distributor for Asia. Download high resolution images here Kenilworth, UK – 10 April. The Alvis Car Company will unveil its latest Lancefield continuation car at Automobile Council 2025 in Chiba City, Japan. 88 years since the first special order left Alvis’ Coventry factory for the 1938 London Motor Show, this model, fully certified for road use, features a celebrated Art Deco design, with modern engineering techniques and the finest of British manufacturing – in line with the ethos of a 21st-century Alvis. Crafted entirely in the Alvis Works, in Kenilworth, UK, the almost 5 metre long 2025 Lancefield draws on Alvis’ unmatched archive of over 25,000 drawings, 23,000 car records and 300,000 original parts. As a true continuation, it uses parts curated from the new old stock retained since the end of car production in 1968. Power steering, electronic engine management and servo-operated brakes have been integrated without compromising the car’s original character. Fully compliant to meet legislation to enjoy on the road, it has a catalytic converter, indicator repeater lights and a collapsible steering column. Rooted in a design celebrated for its Art Deco elegance, the Lancefield was specifically created for the 1938 London Motor Show. Dispatched from Alvis on 19 August 1937, the original would’ve cost £1,350, more than double the price of the average house at the time. Designed by Lancefield Coachworks Limited, the car caused a stir at the show with its graceful proportions, concave flutings and disappearing hood. Disappearing and reappearing from record frequently over the ensuing decades, the Lancefield was selected “as one of the worlds most beautiful cars” in 1982, flown to Germany and displayed in the Autoshow der Superlative-Veedol Starparade in Berlin. The car visited North America, Germany and Jamaica before returning to the UK in June 1994. Now, Warwickshire-based craftspeople using a blend of contemporary tools and traditional techniques have faithfully recreated the bodywork, created using traditional coachbuilding techniques – carefully forming aluminium over a bespoke ash frame in a painstaking, 3,800 hour process. Completing the appearance, the car is painted in-house in two-tone cream. At its heart, the straight-six, 4387cc engine is assembled to the same specification as Alvis’ revered original but now benefits from fuel injection and electronic engine management for easy hot starting, smoother throttle response and improved torque. The engine and body are mated to a fully galvanised steel chassis which carries a consecutive chassis number. The result is an elegant and striking dual-purpose tourer – graceful and comfortable over long distances yet weighing just 1,500 kg it offers surprisingly punchy performance; a 0-60 mph acceleration of under 10 seconds is possible. Before delivery, the Lancefield is put through its paces with a comprehensive road test on the same Warwickshire routes used by Alvis since the 1920s. It is supplied with an updated owner’s handbook, faithfully based on the original. Built to be used, this first Lancefield is destined for a Japanese enthusiast and follows three other continuation series to find homes via the local agent Meiji Sangyo, distributor for the marque in the country over 50 years ago. “The Lancefield continuation car is a clear demonstration of Alvis’ rich legacy and our dedication to quality,” said Alan Stote, owner of The Alvis Car Company. “The 1938 original is a car very close to my heart, and it’s wonderful to continue the legacy of this special machine with a brand-new build.” Publicly displayed at Automobile Council 2025 (11 – 13 April), in Chiba City, Japan, the Lancefield marks Alvis’ first delivery of the year, a year that will see further continuation cars leave the works, including a drop-head Graber. Prices start at £325,000 for pre-war Continuation Series cars, and every model comes with a three-year warranty. Download high resolution images here. ENDS A brief history of Alvis and its ‘firsts’:T.G. John began manufacturing Alvis cars in Coventry in 1920. Coachwork was supplied by Cross & Ellis and Carbodies. In 1925 Alvis became the first car manufacturer in the world to design and race a front-wheel-drive model. A year later, the Alvis straight-eight FWD GP racing car lapped Brooklands at 121mph and in 1928 Alvis FWD models finished first and second in class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The company started producing and marketing FWD cars that year. Another world-first was achieved in 1933, when Alvis designed the world’s first all-synchromesh gearbox and started working on the first British car with independent front-suspension. After the World War 2, Alec Issigonis joined Alvis to design a prototype 3500cc V8 engine. In 1968, the Alvis passenger car division was relocated to Kenilworth after 22,000 vehicles had been built; 50,000 works drawings, technical data sheets and correspondence files are stored there. Through wholly-owned Red Triangle, it continues to manufacture parts, service and restore Alvis cars for existing customers worldwide. Synonymous with craftsmanship and innovation from the twenties until 1968, the Alvis name and fame continue thanks to The Alvis Car Company, which produces Alvis cars renowned for their outstanding quality and charismatic coachwork. It started developing the original Alvis-designed 3-litre and 4.3-litre units in 2010, focusing on meeting global emission regulations whilst remaining as faithful as possible to the Works drawings still held at the Kenilworth factory. The company manufactures its new range of bespoke limited-edition Continuation Series and in 2019 has nominated respected Japanese company Meiji Sangyo to be its distributor in the region.
